GENEVA, 7th Otcober. Dr. Ethel Osborne, the Australian delegate, at. a meeting of the League of Nation's Social Committee, called attention to the problem of the child, on leaving school, being faced with the dangers of the present economic and industrial system, and to the psychological "effect of the immediate unemployment with which many are threatened.

Dr. 'Osborne asked the Child Welfare Sub-committee urgently to.consider this problem, which later will be the subject of«a resolution. She also uttered a warning of the dangers of economising in the League's social work.
