Miss Enid Bell (Lowry Bay) and Miss ■ Sophie Watson (Palmerston North), who have been taking part in the golf tournament at Timaru, will return to Wellington to-morrow, morning. . . •
Miss Barbara Robison, Talavera terrace, will leave Wellington on Tuesday next by the Makura for Sydney.
Mrs. G. D. Greenwood, Christchurch, arrived in Wellington this, morning, and is staying at the Midland Hotel.
Miss Farquhar, Dunedin, who has bfeen the guest of her. sister, Lady Roberts, Lower Hutt, is now visiting Christchurch.
Mis i Elspeth Barton, Heretaunga, who has been visiting Timaru for the golf tournament, will be the guest of Mrs. Derek Studholme, Coldatream, Canterbury, before returning North.
The engagement is announced in an exchange of Margery, only daughter of Dr. and Mrs. W. 8.. Gibson, Elizabeth street, Timaru, and Douglas Alfred, second son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Barker, Selwyn street, Timaru.
Miss Bessie Gaisford, Marton,.who has been visiting Timaru and Christchurch, will return North to-morrow morning. While in Christchurch she was the guest of Mrs. Cecil Wood.
Mrs. Raleigh Grace, Nelson, is visiting her mbth«r, Lady Sinclair-Loekhaf t } Auckland.
Mrs, F. E. Bowden, Nelson, who has been spending^ a holiday with Mrs. F. Balham, Hataitai, left to-day for Picton on her way home.
Captain- and Mrs. Thomas Watson, who -have been visiting Mrs. Ida McGimpsey, "Mount Pleasant," Khandallah, will return to Auckland this evening.
Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Washer are Wellington visitors to Christchurch.
Miss Gwill-Stone, of Khakatahi, Wanganui, is visiting Wellington and staying at the Midland Hotel.
