BRITISH SAILORS' SOCIETY
Men from the ships in port spent a very pleasant evening last Wednesday at the rooms o£ the British Sailors' Society, a concert being arranged for their entertainment by Mrs. Oates and Miss M; Flanagin. The programme was a varied and most enjoyable one. A vocal number by Mr. Stanley Croft was particularly popular, many encores being demanded and graciously given. Other items were presented byMrs. Ody, Misses Marjorie Penman, Margaret Oates, Peggy Smyth, Kene Stanley, Noelener Hazelwood, Dawn Larsen, F. Moynihan, Dolores Harris, and Monica Williams, and Mr. L. Flanagin, the accompaniste being Miss B. Ferguson. At the conclusion of tho concert supper was sewed by the young ladies, of the. society.
