Though there have been very many I calls upon the generosity of the.public during N the. past two years yet the iesponse to the appeal made by the Mayor for assistance for those in serious need has been such that; since. May of last year to the present nearly £10,000 has been contributed in one way or another. The main sources of the fund are as follows:— . :-.
