(Received. 13th October, 10 a.m.) , ' . SYDNEY, This Day. i .In the New South Wales rifle- meeting the first stage of the King's Prize series opened in favourable weather. The Prince of Wales Match, Beven shots '. at 300, 500, and 600 yards, was won by H. M. Nott (South Australia), after a shoot-off with J. Perrin (Queensland).. E. Ballinger was brilliant. Registering 102 out of 105, he secured thirteenth place. Other New Zealanders' scores were: O'Donnell 98, Cromie 98, A. Ballinger, : Rule, Carter, each 96; -Nicholl, W. Ballinger, Chapman, 95; Koppert, 91. .. In the Holmes shoot (possible 40), Chapman scored 37, Cromie 35,' and Nicholl 34.
