PLIMMERTON ACTIVITIES
It was reported at a recent .mooting of. the..executive of the Pliminerton Bowling, Croquet, and Tennis Club, at which Mr. E. J. Stephens presided, that the campaign inaugurated with a view to increasing the membership of the various sections was progressing: satisfactorily lhe -bowhng section, reported that" four new members bad joined, and there was every prospect of the club "securing additional new members. ■ Mr. C. Dalleston was appointed assistant secretary of the executive, and also the I executives representative on the tennis section. Mr. John Wright was appointed I grounds superintendent, and Mr F Ross deputy- grounds, superintendent and purchasing officer., lit, J. H. Turner appointed hon. auditor. It was -decided to thank Mr. A. J. Edginton for a donation oi a debenture valued at £5. The opening of the tennis section will take place on Saturday next, and the club will be officially opened on' Saturday, 29th Uctober. - ■ ■ ■ - The annual meeting of the bowling section will be held on Saturday evening at i Phmmerton. b I
