Oram, of Palmerston North, who will be one of the judges in the Bledisloe Medal contest for. interuniversity oratory, won the Plunket Medal contest, the Union prize for the best debater of the year, and was awarded first place for the best speaker in the Joynt Scroll inter-university debate in 1912.
