MRS. TEMPLER WINS

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TIMARU, This Day. Rain overnight left the'Highfield links in a slightly heavier state, than yesterday for the filial of the ladies' golf championship between Mrs. J. C. Templer (Waunate) and Miss B. Rutherford (Hawardeu). At. the end of the morning's play Mrs. Templer was 4 up. In the early stages Mrs. Templer gave a rather indifferent display. Her approach shots and putting were both erratic. She improved, however, and showed fine form to assume . a 6 up lead at the eleventh. Miss Rutherford then rallied and won three holes. She lost the eighteenth. Mrs. Templer won, 8 and 7.
