Hughes's instigation, referred the League Budget back to the Supervisory Committee with instructions to effect economies. Despite the pleas of Sir j Hilton Young, Sir Thomas "Wilf ord,! and Sir Erie .Hambro immediately to! abolish the League's offices in London, Paris, Berlin," and Home,-the committee decided that the Supervisory Committee should report on the subject in^l933.
