TWO PICTURES BOUGHT
The. New Zealand Academy of Fine has acquired for its permanent collection the. outstanding portrait and the outstanding landscape-in the present exhibition. The former is the portrait of Professor James Shelley, by Mr. Leonard H. Bptoth, the Christehurch artist; the latter is the picture entitled "Peninsular S^F.^lcnon.' °£ Sn°W PaintiDg by
