BATTERIES- IN BIVOUAC
The annual "bivouac" of tho 13th (Auckland) and 15th (Wellington) Coast Defence Batteries commenced at Fort Dorset this morning, and will bo continued throughout the week. The 13th (Auckland) Battery is represented by three officers and 20 other ranks, who arrived by the Limited Express this morning, and the 15th (Fort Dorset) Battery by five officers and 35 other ranks.
The association of these batteries in camp together in friendly rivalry has long been looked forward to in "big gun" circles, and as tho two during the "bivouac^ are to compete for the Hudson Cup it is expected that some really smart work will be witnessed. The Hudson Cup is now held by .the 15th Battery, and is awarded on the combined work throughout the camp of each and every section of both batteries.
