Correspondence between the Prime Minister, Mr. J. A. Lyons, and the Chairman of the Commonwealth Bank Board, Sir Robert Gibson, shows that the total cash requirements of the Commonwealth and States for the current financial year will be £26,872,000, of which New South Wales requires £10,113,000 and the Commonwealth £6,360,000. These advances are being made by the bank in accordance with the Premiers' Plan.

The Loan Council has adjourned indefinitely.
