JUDGES APPOINTED
At a meeting of the executive of the Wellington Competitions Society adjudicators were appointed for the 1032 festival;—
Elocution, Mr. E. Stanley Brooks Melbourne; vocal, Mr. I<\ Wentworth Slater I rotessor of Singing; dancing, Miss Evelyn Ldgar, from London; instrumental, Mr Ernest Jenner (Wellington Training Lollege); violin and stringed instruments Mr l<rauk Crowt,her (Wellington); dance orchestra, Mr. Thomas Goodall (Welliueton). . h
'?{*i Clement Howe and Miss Iris Mason, ■ot Wellington, were appointed as official and assistant accompanist. Mr. Brooks is recognised' as one of Australia s foremost elocutionists and adjudicators, and last year officiated at the South Australian Competitions at Adelaide.
Mr. Slater has adjudicated at all the leading festivals in Wales and on two occasions was selected as specialist adjudicator m the vocal sojos and choral sections at the Welsh National Eisteddfod which is probably the greatest institution of its kind in the world.
Miss Edgar has adjudicated at many iMiglish competitions, and her services have also beeu engaged to judge competitions for other London teachers.
