graph—Copyright. (Received 4th February, 9 a.m.) SYDNEY, 3rd February. Mr. J. T. Lang, speaking in sup« port of the candidature of Mr. Ward, in the East Sydney by-election tonight, discussed the doings of the Loan Council. .
. He violently attacked-Mr. Bruce, the Assistant Federal Treasurer, and declared that he was actually the leader of the Federal Government and not Mr. Lyons. Mr. Bruce in all good faith had urged throvring men out of employment not at the rate of, say, 20,000 in one batch, but so many this month and so many next month, so as to get them accustomed to. unemployment. Mr. Lang said that a more monstrous proposal was never conceived by the leader of any Government.
