NO RESPONSE FROM JAPAN
. (Received Wa February, 9.30 a,m.) WASHINGTON, 3rd February. The State Department has announced the receipt of a "favourable" reply from the Chinese Government in reference to the British and American proposals. Japan's response has not yet been received.
