Market Gardeners, Ltd., proceeded against Robert Joseph Hayes, : late manager of the company, %t the Magistrate's Court on Monday for the. gam of £164 3s 9d for money advanced by; the plaintiff to the defendant, the "defendant's dishonoured ~ cheque, 'and goods supplied to a person for /whoso account the defendant had made himself liable. .: ; ■-:.'■ -■'-■■ The defendant filed a counter-claim,-claiming three. montnn• salary in lieu of notice «n the termination of his engagement, holiday pay for five years itt lieu of holidays,' and £75 in respect of a bonus of 5 per cent, on the total net profits of the company. -: "!
