At ■Ellerslie= during the holidays shewas un-successfully-tried at longer distances, contesting'the Christmas Handicap, one mile in which she made her. effort too quickly! the Summer Cup, one mile and a quarter' in which she finished seventh, and the Granditand Handicap, one mile and a quarter, in which she lost ground at the stairt and then finished right up behind the placed horses. These were creditable showings, and she should be one of the hard ones to beat in whichever event she is 1 run to-morrow, whether it be the Flying Handicap or the Carroll Memorial Handicap.
