SATURDAY'S ATHLETIC MEETING
After itsbad luck in the matter of favourable, weather for its meetings, the Wellington. Centre,\N t Z.A.A.A:, is hopingthat next Saturday aftern66n: Vill be bright in every respect of the sports meeting postponed from last Saturday. The meeting is to be held at Athletic Park, and it is expected to produce the best performances to date this season, ■with hurdling by girl athletes a new feature. Championship conditions will be applied in many of the events, as much of the competition isT6~b"e'fofthe Dewar' Shield; and this in itself should account for' outstanding performances. The half-mile, with Ogg, Watson, and Harding all off .the same mark, will be but one of many interesting contests, and the running of G. Bayne'in the one mile event will also attract'keen attention. , At the outset of the meeting the comrjstitors will participate in a'parade led by the Miramar Band. : i
