LATHAM AS DELEGATE

CANBERRA, Bth January. The Federal Cabinet announces the appointment of the Attorney-General, Mr; J. G. Latham, as Commonwealth representative at the Disarmament Conference at Geneva. Mr. Latham will be unable to leave for some time. Meanwhile ■ Sir Granvillo Ryrie, the High Commissioner, will represent Australia.

The Prime Minister, Mr. J. A. Lyons, Mr. Latham, and Sir »George Pearce have been appointed a sub-committee of the Federal Cabinet to examine the disarmament proposals.
