CHRISTCHURCH TO AUCKLAND

(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.") AUCKLAND, This Day. A smart trip of 6 hours 20 minutes I from Chriatchurch to Auckland was made yesterday by two aeroplanes, piloted by Sir Bruce Stewart and Captain J. C. Mercer, on the way north to see the attempt on the land speed record on the Ninety-Mile Beach. Sir Bruce flew a new Puss Moth monoplane-, with Mi\ R. K. Palmer, of Christchurch, as passenger, and Captain Mercer flew a Gipsy Moth belonging to the, Canterbury Aero Club, his pupil, F. Shaman, being the passenger.
