METHODIST SUMMER SCHOOL
On Wednesday evening, at the School for the Deaf, Sumner, the South Island summer school of ■ the Methodist Bible Class movements, was commenced. Somo 90 delegates were .welcomed by the camp hostess, Mvs. Harycy Cook, and an , address introducing, the theme of study was given by the Rev. C, O. Hailwood, . camp chairman. Other' .officers, include the Revi E. W. Hames (leader of the Leaders' Circle) and the Rev. E. P. Blamires (camp father). The series .of. morning studies is entitled "New, Life,'.' and on Thurs-' day morning the study circles discussed the topic,-'' The Historical Resurrection." Dr. J. D. Salmond later ad-' dressed the members, taking - for his subject "Adolescent Unfolding." This interesting address ' provoked much thought and discussion, and Dr.: Salmond's observations' on* his recent tour abroad gave added value. ' Ideal weather permitted the' enjoyment . of, tennis and bathing during | the. recreation period in the afternoon. The .evening topic, "Class Problems," I was introducd by the Rev. B. R. Hames, a very profitable discussion resulting. Appropriate ' devotional exercises' brought the- day to a close, :
