WEST COAST WINNERS

The Trentham horses that aie' doing their holiday racing on the West Coast have already had. their share1 of. success. Royal Game, Flower, and Dainty Ways have each been winners, and they have still the Eeofton Meeting befoie them on Friday and Saturday nest. Flower and Dainty Ways have each won two races. Flower was successful in the Kanieri Hack Handicap, seven furlongs, on the second day of the Westland Meeting, and scored again in the Biunner Handicap, six furlongs.and a half, on the first day of the Greymouth Meeting. On each occasion she was ridden by the Tientham apprentice, J, F. Nicholson. Dainty Ways was twice third at Hbkitika, then was second on the first 'day at Greymouth, and notched a double on the final day at Greymouth. She is now held on lease by the Trentham trainer, L. G. Browne, and her consistency has merited the success she has earned. _ I Royal Game has had one win, one* second, and one third in three starts. His success was in the Hokitika Handicap, on the second day of the Westland Meeting. I>icholson also has had the liding on him Camp and Shootist. the other Trentham horses doing the circuit, have not yet won a salute. • Camp- is -having his first racing and has apparently not shown, up m any of his, starts. Shoottt, with more experience, has. been third at each of his four starts to date on the circuit, but even the poorest maiden class,seems to be beyond his reach. ' Five other horges who wero trained at Trentham last Reason are1 at piesent racing On the Coast. They are Black Mint. Hunting Call, Invite, White Doe, and Gold Sand. The three first named have not succeeded in gaining even place money yet, but both White Doe and Gold Sand have been winners. 'White Doe scored on the first day at Hokitika,'and Gold Sand, who is a half-sister by Psychology to Moorland and Doree, was successful on each day at-Greymbuthr" White D6e and Gold Sand were each members of A. Goodman's team last season.
