OLD MAN KILLED

WANGANUI, 3rd January. On his way to pick up a cream can, Magnus Peter Manson, a single man, aged 69, was killed by a car on the Great North road, St. John's Hill, at 4.30 this afternoon.

Mr. Manson apparently did not notice the car, which was driven by Charles Ronald Howell, a Public servant, of Wellington. It is stated that the- vehicle was on its correct side when the accident happened.
