NOCTURNAL ALARM
'MYSTERIOUS EXPLOSION
SYDNEY, 2nd January
A mysterious explosion on a small farm at Peakhurst during the night shook many neighbouring centres and tho western suburbs of Sydney. A big hole was blown in the ground, and tho eattlo in the paddock were panicstricken.
A man nearby had a terrifying experience, being showered with earth. The polico aro making an investigation, but, as yet have not determined tlio cause of, tlic explosion.
