WOMAN ASSAULTED

, AUCKLAND, This Day. "While she slept with two small child* , ren in a room of a Chinese shack «t Mangere yesterday morning, Marie1 Hapi, agea 20, was struck and injured' by a length of piping. Her husband, I Wiri Munahi Hopi, aged 25, hu been, j arrested and remanded on a charge of' attempted murder. The woman's condition is reported to be not serious; She and her husband have both been working in the Chinese gardens, but tor tha past month have been-separated.
