GAS POISONING

DUNEDIN, This Day. At an inquest on John McKewcn, aged 43, who was found dead in a cottage with .1 gas jet turned on, the Coroner said that there was no evidence to show that an attempt had been made to block up any aperture. The deceased enjoyed good health, and there was no evidence that he was depressed. A verdict of death due to asphyxia and fioal gas poisoning was returned.
