STOLEN FROM HOTEL
EARLY MORNING BUGLARY
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHTJRCH, Ist January. A daring robbery was coimnittcdf early this morning at the Club Hotel* Sydeuham, when thieves carried off a hotel safe containing the takings for the past few days and additional cash which was being carried; over the holidays owing to restricted banking facilities. It is unknown how the robbery was committed, but it is believed that the robbers must have hidden in the building until the staff retired. Acciess to the office was gained by means of a small aperture 14 inches by 10 inches where the telephone is placed.
