PASTORAL PROTEST

A Pastoral signed /by all Eoman Catholic Archbishops and Bishops condemns the new Spanish constitution and orders Catholics to accept the existing regime as a de facto Government. "This does not imply confirmation of, much less obedience to, legislation opposed to.God and the Church," says the Pastoral, ,-which . warns Catholics that marriages outside the church incur deprivation of ecclesiastical rights to holy burial and exhorts the opposition of tho lay instruction in a collective protest against the juridical assault on the Church's position and insistence on legislative reparation.
