Results: — CARRINGTON STAKES, a handicap sweepstakes ivith 650 soys added; sis furlongs. Greenline, 10.5 (Pike) * Old Ming, 7.9 (Cook) 2 I Royal Park, 7.10 (Knoi) 3 Twelve started, including Pentheus, High Disdain, Hold Fast, and Tom Pinch. Taking charge a furlong from home, Green* I line lasted long enough to win by a neck , from Old Ming, with half a length between I second and third. High Disdain was fourth. Time, lmin 12% sec. DENMAN HANDICAP, a handicap i sweepstakes with 300 soys added; one mile and a quarter. I Cathmar, 8.8 (Webster) 1 I Attar, 7.2 (Finch) 2 Potent, 7.2 (Hickey) ................ 3 Eight started. 'Won by three quarters of a length, a head between second and ! third. Tipie, 2min 4%sec. - The New Zealand horses, Huatique and 1 Netley, were unplaced in the Maiden , Handicap. Moviestar, Grecian, and My 1 Talisman were unplaced -in • the Paca , Welter, Handicap. Gold' Day is returning to .New Zealand by to-morrow's boat.
