BRITISH SAILORS' SOCIETY.
Men from the ships in port were, entertained last evening at the rooms of the British Sailors' Society by a concert arranged by Miss Bitossi. The programme proved a' very popular one, the most outstanding artists being Messrs. Johnson aud Peltit (violin and piano), who were recalled again and again. Some of their "old time" numbers were particularly popular, and the audience joined in the singing of the old favourites. Other performers were Misses A, M'lndoe, Bell, M. Harris, and1 J. Reynolds (who also was the accompanist for the evening), and Messrs. F. Graham, Smith, aud D. Hogg. i\t the conclusion of the programme supper was served by the ladies of the society. '
