The late Sir Thomas Lipton's eetst* exceeds a million sterling. The deceased bequeathed his Ostidge estate, with an endowment of £20,000, as a nurses' hostel in memory of his mother,,and £80,000 for the benefit of working class mothers' children in- Glasgow. The residue is divided among hospitals and institutions in Glasgow, . London, and Middlesex. His yacht trophies are to be handed over to a museum designated by his executors.
