WORK APPRECIATED
WING-COMMANDER GRANTDALTON In appreciation of the work he had done in assisting aviation in New Zealand, members of the executive and pilots of the Wellington Aero Club mustered in full force at the club rooma yesterday afternoon to make a presentation to Wing-Commander GrantDalton, who recently relinquished the position of Director of Air Services. The presentation, which took tho form of a cigarette box with the club crest on it, was made by the president of the club (Mr. T. C. A. Hislop), who eulogised the work done by the WingCommander. In reply Wiug-Commamler GraiitDalton said he recognised that New Zealand depended solely on the aero clubs to further the interests of aviation in the country. He stressed the value of a country having its own trained pilot* in case of an emergency.
