Mr. Snowdeu lias written to his constituency, Colnc Valley, as follows:—" ' "I have intended ,ever since I 10----covciccl from my recent illness to inform you that it will not be possible for me to seek election to tho next Parliament. Although I have had a remarkable recovery,-1 am compelled to realise that, at my ago (I am turned 67) I caunot expect to bo able to continue- the strenuous, life I have lived for tho ln.st forty years. I must seek relief from tho" arduous work of the House of Commons, with its long hours and late sittings." ■ Mr. E. J. Heywood,. regretting.
