CHARITABLE BEQUESTS

Under the will of the late Mr. James Rumgay, of No. 2, Tainui terrace, Wei-, lington, who died on the 11th ultimo, the Public Trustee is appointed .executor and trustee, with Mr. Alexander' Gowansas advisory trustee. . Fraser,: of 'Dunedin, '£400 upon trust to apply the incoirie over a period of five years for or towards the training of Bible students . for home and foreign mission, work, and after the expirary of the period of five years, to apply both, capital and income for the purpose above mentioned; ■ ■ ■ (2) £100 to the Rev. P. B.JJVaser to assist in the publication 'of the "Biblical Recorder" for the purpose of spreading the truth. • (3) £300 upon trust, to be, invested and payments made out of capital and income of £50 per annum, in equal half-yearly payments, to the Rev.'. Andrew Gowans, of Adelaide, or failing him to Miss L. O. I. Rumgay, oi: Dundee, for missionary work. Should both the Rev. A. Gowans-and Miss L. C.I. Eumgay die before the sura is expended, the balance is td be paid', to' the Wellington branch of the v British.and. Foreign Bible Society.. ' '.■,'. (4) £300 upon trust to be invested and; payments made out of capital and income of £50 per annum in equal half-yearly payments to Miss L. C. I. Rumgay, or failing her to the Rev. Andrew Gowans for missionary work. Should both-Miss I). C. I. Rumgay and the Rev. A. Gowans die before the sum is expended the balance is to be paid to the Wellington branch of the British and Foreign Bible Society. (5) The residue of the estate is then left to be divided equally amongst the following:—The British and Foreign Bible Society, the Orphan Homes of Scotland, the Wellington Presbyterian Orphanage, the China luland Mission, Mount Carni.el Bible School, the Sudan Interior Mission, the Oriental Missionary. Society, . the Worldwide Evangelisation Crusade. So far as can be seen at present the value of the residue will be^ in. the vicinity of £1000. '
