SOME USEFUL GALLOPS

Most of the fast work was done on the outside of the course proper, the trestles about 40ft out. Bleindale and Golden King collided soon after the start of a four-furlongs spin, spoiling the gallop, which took 55 3-ssec. , . > ! . Town Major was restricted to tworounds of from'half to three-quarter pace work. Salmo Salar beat Pink Paper over seven furlongs on the tan in lmin 35 3-sscc. . , , Lord Buchan beat Anne Shakespeare over half a mile on the course proper in 53 3-ssec. ' '. , Hot Tea easily held Baiittcrilla over six furlongs on the course', proper in lmin 23 3-sscc. ' v Aspiring ran six furlongs on the tan in lmin 20 2-osec. Cricket Bat and Fleeting Glance were restricted to three-quarter pace work. Miss Tembaron and Princess Argosy finished together at the end,of half a mile on the course proper ih 54sec. Hula Belle; and Tippling sprinted two furlongs twice along the, back of the course proper, taking '25se" each.time. Gallant Fox beat Admiral .Brake over a mile on the. course proper In lmitt 49 sec^ The latter covered a lot of;extra ground at the home turn. Solmuri was going better-than All Smiles at the end of seven furlongs on tho course^ proper in lmin 38sec. Bachelor's Idol was.easing up at the end of six furlongs on the tan to beat Bold Brigand in lmin 23 l-ssee, Gold Dress easily held Wealth over four furlongs on the rails of the course proper in 52sec. : Tho Tractor —Bonny Lake gelding was going the best of K. M'Donald's three two-year-olds over the same journey, also in 52sec. Fi'ancolin .r.;u five furlongs on .the course proper in 67 3-ssec. Lord Argosy went half a mile in 54scc. . Felony jumped three hurdles, then

C. Emerson's trio of two-year-olds,. Lady Zephyr, Skysong, and Oratorious, were only cantered. Ruling Light boat Latin Quarter at tho end of six furlongs on the course proper in lmin 24 ■S-Ssec. - . ' ~ • Bitractor beat a stablemato over five furlongs on the course proper in lmin 9 3-ssec. Red Racer ran half a mile on the tan in 55min. ... . Filosol, picked up at the end of two furlongs on the tan by Last March, took 03 2-sboc for the last fiye furlongs. Last March finished in front over four furlongs in 50 3-ssec. Royal v Saxon ran six furlongs on the course proper in lmin 20sec. Cornleaf did strong work on the tan. Air Valve was sent a mile and a half on , the course proper, running tho first halfmile in 55 3-ssec.
