DIFFICULT QUESTION
INDIA'S MINORITIES
EFFORT -AT SETTLEMENT
(British Official \Ylrolcss.) BUGBY, sth October. A meeting of the Federal Structure Committee of the Indian Round Tablo Conference was held at St. James's Palace this morning. After a very; brief session it was announced that the committee had decided to adjourn, uatil Friday morning in order that the conversations on the minorities question, which are proceeding, should be as free as possible from interruption. The next meeting of the Minorities Committee is fixed for Thursday. In expressing his approval of the decision to adjourn, Lord Sankey, chairman of the committee, said that he hoped that full advantage would be. taken of the interval to endeavour to secure a settlement of this very difficult question. When on Friday the committee resumed there should be no further interruptions in its work. He hoped that there would be a. minimum of debate, and that the members of the committee would aim at getting early decisions,
