QUEENSLAND BUTTER BOX
(Received 7th October, 1 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The fact that the Bussians aro imitating the boxes in which Australian and New Zealand butter reaches the United Kingdom is the chief reason for an experiment which is being carried out by a Queensland firm of exporters. A quantity of butter has been packed in a veneer of Queensland timbers and dispatched. It is claimed that ,siieh v veneer cannot be imitated. It has tho added advantage of being inexpensive. At present the larger part of the timber usod for butter boxes is imported from New Zealand. If the veneer proves succecssful and is generally adopted by Australian exporters, a substantial saving will be effected.
