JOHNSONVILLE CLUB
A large number of members and visitors were present at the opening of the J6hnsonville Tennis Club. In the absence of the club's patron and president, Mr. W. Mills, who was accompanied by Mrs. Mills, declared the courts open and wished the club every success for the season. The club captain, Mr. J. Engel, welcomed the visitors and wished them a pleasant" afternoon's tennis. Mixed doubles were played until rain late in the afternoon enforced a stoppage. .Afternoon tea was provided by the ladies o£ the club. Improvements to the club's courts and surroundings have been made. It is intended to arrange a series of friendly matches with other clubs. ;
