Mrs. Philip. .Snowden is to introduce a new series-o'f radio morning talks-for1 women (writes a Londoner). Besides being the wife of the Chancellor ,of the Exchequer, Mrs. Snowden is a governor of the 8.8.C., and for this she receives £700 a year. She takes special interest in the morning talks, and makes many suggestions about them. As part .of the new series, it has been decided to devote Saturday mornings to "What's-in the Papers??'
Mrs. L. Birdling, of Christchurch, is at present visiting Wellington, and is staying, at the Grand Hotel.
