LONDON WOOL SALES
ACTIVE COMPETITION (Received 6th October, 11 a.m.) LONDON, sth October. Offerings at the wool sales to-day were 8365 bales, including 1467 New South Wales, 1016 Queensland, 723 Victorian, 136 South Australian, 1945 New Zealand. Approximately 3925 bales of the total offering were sold. There was active competition, with a good clearance, but with frequent withdrawals of merinos owing to the high limits placed upon them. Greasy combings New South Wales "Allonball," sold s\t 12Ud to 12d; Queensland, "Corinda," 10% dto 9d; scoured Victorian, "Clyde," WM\ to 16% d; Queensland, "Bristol," 17% dto IVAd; New Zcalands, greasy crossbred, "Arakihi," 9d to 8d; slipe, "Pareora," lOd to B%d.
