MAYOR'S RELIEF DEPOT

The following additional gifts o£ foodstuffs have been received a* the Mayor's Relief Depot, Dixon street:—Denhard Bakeries, 120 loaves; Lawrence, baker, 54 loaves; another baker, 74 loaves^ Mr. Gregory, Ngaio, bag carrots; M.E.A., tea, sugar, eggs, jam; Karori Methodist Y.W.J5.C., milk tokens; Cooper, Karori, baker, 78 loavew; "V," per Isaacs, baker, 12 loaves; 0.T.P., per Denlinnlß, 12 loaves; L.J., rice and coc^a; "V," per Jones, baker, 14 loaves; Mrs. Dray, Island Bay, two sacks carrots; Isaacs, baker, 14 loaves; Lacry and Co., 2S sacks onions; Adams Apple Shop, 0 cases apples; E.T., butter and tokens; "Bill," five sacks mixed vegetsibles; Brierley, baker, 12 loaves;; Parsons, baker, 12 loaves; Mr. Hopcroft, Pongaroa, two boxes eggs; Queen Margaret's College, box groceries; Mrs. S., per Denbards, six loaves; Hataitni School, two boxes groceries and vegetables; staff M.R., 10a groceries; "Bill," two bags vegetables; Moana Sewing Bee, box groceries; Mr. James, fish; Jauneey Studios, butter; Anon., cauliflower, leeks, and cabbage; J. Holland, free cartage. The above donors are heartily thanked for their contributions. In response to an appeal for bread, several well-disposed persons have placed orders with the bakers who have been supplying the depot. More is still needed, as the bakers are raiT.vinK a heavy load, firoceries are also in short supply.
