TRADE TREATY
NEW ZEALAND-CANADA "FRIENDLY INFLUENCE" (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, sth October. Discussions about tho proposed reciprocal trad© treaty between Canada and New Zealand- will take- place in Wellington this week between tho Prime Minister and Major-General Sir Newton Mooro, M.P. for Richmond in tho British House of Commons, who was formerly Premier of Western Australia. Sir Newton Moore arrived by the Niagara from Canada, where ho had several consultations on tho question of a Canadian-New Zealand trade treaty with the' Canadian Prime Minister and tho Canadian Minister of Trado and Commerce. Sir Newton Mooro, who is vice-president of Dominion Steel and Coal Corporation of Canada, is on his way to Australia and has broken his journey to bring his friendly influence to bear in an endeavour to end the present trade . difficulties between the two Dominions.
