LIBERAL HEADQUARTERS

Liberal headquarters have issued a statement to the effect that they regard with equanimity Sir John Simon's threat to form a new organisation of the party. They state that they will not support it, its purpose being limited to secure campaign funds for the. Simon section.. Sir John Simon had not:addressed a Liberal meeting outside his constituency for two years, and had absented himself from shadow cabinets. He withdrew from the Liberal Party in June. "He is a Conservative with one foot in the Liberal camp," the state-: ment adds.
