EXPORTS FROM INDIA
CALCUTTA, 4th October. Gold is being exported from India to England, America, and Holland on an abnormal scale. To-day's steamer carried £1,500,000, a fact which has caused alarm in mercantile circles. Indian merchants and the Chamber of Commerce are calling on the Government to levy an embargo on the export of gold.
