TEMPERING THE WIND
(Beceived sth October, 10 a.m.) LONDON, 4th October. Admiralty Fleet Orders, notifying new rates of pay from Ist October, contain a provision for the consideration of married men under the ago of 25. The Admiralty is approaching hire-purchase firms and insurance companies with a view to preventing hardship falling on the men generally.
