The late Sir Thomas Lipton, whose death was announced on Saturday, will be buried on 7th October in the humble family grave at Glasgow, fulfilling his lifelong wish to rest with his mother, for whom he had the greatest affection. His will is at present unrevealed, but it is known that the errand boy who started at half-a-crown a week and died a millionaire has made many munificent bequests to charity. He caught a chill last week whilo motoring, and was attended by four doctors. He had planned to sail on Saturday on a business trip to the United States. * World-wide tributes to his sportsmanship as the "world's best loser" are being received.
