The courts were well filled at Salamanca Club when Mr. H. I. Graves, the: club president and member of the Management Committee of the New Zealand- ; Law« Tennis Association, declared the seasoa open. Wishing members a pkasant. season, Mr. Graves drew attention.to the: fact *hat in interclub matches played last year the dub had fared well, and that th« courts, which bad been resurfaced, offered' prospects of good tennis. - ■ About fifty members and friends wer« . present, there being a number of visitor! from other clubs and a good afternoon* play was enjoyed in excellent weather.
