In tho women's singles, Edith Cross defeated Helen Jacobs, 3-6, 8-6, 6-3. I Perry anil G. P. jHughes defeated Worth Oswold and Lloyd Budgo in the [doubles, 6-2,"6-4, on Tuesday. In the men's doubles,. Perry and Hughes defeated Brown and Stratford (San Francisco), 5-7,6-3, 6-2; Ellsworth Vines and Gledhill defeated Dunn and M'Killip (San Francisco), 6^2, 1-6, 6-4. In the singles, Vines defeated Hyde (San Francisco), 6-1, 6-0; and later he defeated Neil Brown, 4-6, 6-1, 6-2; Lott defeated Stratford, 8-6, 6-3; 'F. Wood defeated Chandlern (San Francisco), 4-6, 6-3, 7-5. . _ j
