AGAINST PROFITEERING
CONTROL OF PRICES
LONDON, 2nd October. The text of the Anti-Profiteering Bill provides that if a food shortage appears likely or thero is any unreasonable increase in the price of any article of food or drink of-general.consumption tho Board of Trade may regulate and deal with the prices. Tho Bill provides also for tho summary, trial of offenders, with a penalty of £100 or throe mouths' imprisonment, with a forfeiture of profits. The Bill is to remain in force for six months.
