'In the report of the Ladies Auxiliary ■ it was stated that Mrs. Waite had resign- ■ ed from the office of president and the J vacancy had been' filled by Mrs. Grant. , Other..,officers elected were; Vice-prcsi- ■ dent, Mrs. .Murray;.secretary, Mrs. I/, h. • Ellen; investigator, . Mrs. Hepplewaite. , Many applications for relief were receiv- ■ ■ed duringthe inoiith in the way of boots, ■ clothing, etc., but: unfortunately there J were not the necessary goodsrto" satisfy , the demands. The following articles had- i 'been distributed during the month: Lay-. j ettes, 6; clothing, etc., 580; boots; and , shoes, 42 pairs) 12yds; of new flannelette ;■ and two perambulators. .' ; . With regard, to the Lower Hutt branch. ■ it was stated that the stock of clothing j was practically....depleted, and ..to'^ enable J the work to be. continued donations of ■ clothing would be welcomed.
